Message route was a ton of trouble for VERY minimal gains in displacement (We are talking 4mm added stroke. Maybe 6mm). Our block simply does not have very much room for gains. Money was not an issue either.

In the end I decided to just go with a custom billet crank which is a work of art by the way, for the superior oiling system, stronger crank, and ability to use other bearings.

Making the pistons go up and down more in the end just didn't look appealing to me once everything was considered. I guess it'll be a 3.1L or so simply b/c of the slightly larger than stock pistons.

For what it's worth the silly expensive JUN stroker kit that is sold for $12,000 only has a 4mm stroke (most of the added size comes from larger pistons) if I remember correctly, and the crank is not even billet (also if I remember correctly)....all for $12,000...just silly.

I believe some others are still going to be attempting the stroker route from what I hear. If Don or Mike are on, they can fill you in on all of the details and reasons. I may do all of the work on my own car, but when it comes to the motor, I leave that part up to the experts like them. We've all seen me put rear camber arms on the wrong side! haha Don't need a simple mistake like that when designing a crank shaft.
